About the role

Tranquil Springs CRT is a 15-bed, short-term, voluntary crisis residential program in Indio, California serving adults (18+) diagnosed with a serious mental illness or experiencing a mental health crisis. The program expands crisis services in the county, reduces involuntary treatment, and focuses on recovery supports. The typical length of stay is 12 days.

Responsibilities

• Engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful conversations with members to help them explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture (RCCS), ensuring each member’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming.
• Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment for members experiencing mental health or addiction-related emergencies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA must be obtained within 120 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• One (1) year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges or mental disabilities.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use a company vehicle to transport clients to appointments and groups.

Pay

• Expected starting wage: $23.00 per hour.
• Shift differentials:
  • 6% for PM Shift, 10% for Overnight Shift.
  • Weekend differentials: 5% for AM Shift, 11% for PM Shift, 15% for Overnight Shift.
• Geographic pay differentials applied based on the location where the role is performed.
• Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
