About the role
As a Certified Patient Care Assistant you will be an integral part of our supportive working environment with teamwork as our foundation. You will have the opportunity to provide specialized care for our patients while building connections with your co-workers. We provide many opportunities for education, process/quality improvement, and inter-professional collaboration in a challenging, fast-paced environment. All staff are encouraged to participate in our Shared Leadership Council where you can contribute ideas and participate in a dynamic group that build relationships between team members, enhances our patient’s experience and works on department and facility quality initiatives. This unit is a 13‑bed ICU unit offering care to critically ill patients. Our patient population consists of individuals with an array of medical and surgical conditions such as respiratory failure, aspiration pneumonia, PE, strokes, and cardiac concerns.
