About the role

The Court Administrator II, SR-26, is responsible for an organizational segment composed of various units engaged in diverse, extensive, and intense court support functions. This role requires the assistance of subordinate assistant court administrators and/or court administrators, and line supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and directing the work of others within the organizational segment.
  • Assigning and reviewing their work.
  • Advising them on difficult problem areas.
  • Scheduling their work.
  • Training and developing new employees.
  • Performing professional work involving written analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for problem resolution in a court or legal setting.
  • Developing, managing, executing, and coordinating program operations and activities.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university.
  • Specialized Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional, administrative, technical work experience in a court or legal setting, or social work or administrative programs of the courts.
  • Substitution: A Master's degree in business, public administration, or criminal justice administration, or a closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of Specialized Experience. Graduation from an accredited school of law may substitute for one (1) year of Specialized Experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible work experience in a court or legal setting, social work or administrative program of the courts which involved active participation in and major responsibility for the development of policies and procedures; and the development, management, execution and coordination of program operations and activities.
