About the role
Deliver occupational therapy to patients, supporting their physical recovery while adhering to legal and professional guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Follow state-specific laws and the treatment plan set by the supervising OT.
- Instruct and assist patients with evidence-based therapy techniques.
- Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes.
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members on therapy practices.
- Work effectively in diverse home settings, respecting all individuals.
Requirements
- Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or access to public transportation.
Skills
- Preferred skills include CPR certification, multitasking, independence, and strong communication and organizational abilities.
Pay
Compensation varies based on productivity, including per visit point pay and hourly rates.
