About the Role

As the Occupational Therapist Assistant at Spokane Assured Home Health, a part of LHC Group and the Optum family of businesses, you will provide occupational therapy to patients to restore them to their fullest physical ability. Responsibilities

  • Follow all state-specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care, adhering to the treatment plan defined by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT).
  • Implement the plan of care, instructing and aiding patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant and according to state laws.
  • Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition to the nurse supervisor and physician.
  • Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare team members in therapy techniques within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant.
  • Function effectively in any home situation, regardless of the patient’s age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.

Requirements

  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of Washington.
  • Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or reliable public transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Pay

Annual total cash target pay range: $53,528 - $80,292.

  • Hourly rate: $25.73 - $38.60.
  • Per visit point rate: $30.88 - $46.32.

Annual total cash compensation assumes full-time employment (40 weekly hours) at full productivity and generally follows the range above. Total cash compensation includes earnings from per visit point pay and hourly pay, based on factors such as local labor markets, education, and work experience. It may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.

This role receives two types of compensation depending on the work performed:

  • For visits, you will be paid a per visit point rate, calculated by multiplying your per visit point rate by the productivity points accrued for various types of visits. Each visit type is assigned a specific number of productivity points, inclusive of "direct" and "indirect" patient care activities. The number of visits performed each week will vary based on individual productivity targets and the points assigned to those visits.
  • For non-visit activities such as orientation, you will be paid an hourly rate.
