Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA

Responsibilities

• Aid in implementing treatment plans devised by occupational therapists.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions as directed.
• Monitor and document patients' responses to therapy, updating progress notes and reporting findings.
• Provide educational guidance to patients and their families regarding home exercises, adaptive techniques, and continued progress strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support occupational therapists in assessing patient needs and progress, offering additional observations and insights.

Qualifications

• Maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification.
• Hold a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Have 0-1 years of relevant experience.
