Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team and contribute to improving mobility, function, and quality of life for our homebound clients. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, results-driven, and passionate about promoting independence through personalized rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and pain management techniques in the home setting.
• Educate clients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe movement strategies.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Promote recovery and prevent further injury or decline through evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).
• Experience in home health or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and time-management skills.
• Able to work independently and adapt to varied home environments.
• Proficient in documentation and use of electronic health records.
• Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and perform therapeutic interventions.
