About the role
Aspire Therapy & Development Services, a leading multidisciplinary pediatric therapy clinic, is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping children and families, and desires to work within a supportive, collaborative multidisciplinary team at our Madison and Verona clinics.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, 1:1 direct occupational therapy interventions to children with physical and/or developmental delays.
- Collaborate directly with the supervising Occupational Therapist (OTR) to execute established plans of care.
- Guide children through fun, engaging, and skill-building activities designed to improve skills for daily living, social interaction, sensory regulation, and physical coordination.
- Consult and collaborate with other disciplines across our multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
- Provide complete, timely, and professional treatment session notes and clinical documentation.
- Directly support the success, development, and education of our clients and their families.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current Wisconsin Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or immediate eligibility for licensure.
- Experience in a pediatric setting or in a clinical rotation is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to grow in your skills and participate in clinical mentorship.
- Dependability and reliability are crucial for our children's success.
- High integrity to work diligently with families and positively engage with children who need your support.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with client needs.
- Physical ability to perform various postures such as sitting, kneeling, standing, and getting up from the floor as needed for active play and client safety.
