Role Overview: As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will provide occupational therapy to patients, aiming to restore their physical abilities. You will follow state laws and the treatment plan set by the supervising OT, instruct patients and their families, and document patient responses and progress. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with legal requirements, delivering evidence-based treatments, and collaborating with healthcare team members. Key Responsibilities Implement treatment plans within the scope of practice and legal guidelines.Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes.Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques. Qualifications & Skills Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in the practice state.CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or access to transportation.Ability to serve diverse populations regardless of background.Preferred: Strong multitasking, independence, communication, and organizational skills.
