Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Responsibilities

• Utilization of appropriate Occupational Therapy Interventions to produce expected outcomes.
• Utilization of appropriate and timely documentation.
• Communicates progress and status to participants, PACE IDT members and contracted health professionals as needed.
• Adheres to professional code of ethics and state licensure laws.
• Works within Supervision guidelines of Occupational Therapy Assistant in accordance to state licensure laws.
• Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly by maintaining and practicing department policies and procedures regarding safety and infection control.
• Performs as member of PACE Rehabilitation team through joint interventions, communication, quality assurance programs and meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited, Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensed by the state of Iowa.
• Preferred Certification/Registration: Membership in professional associations desirable.
• Maintains current CPR status.
• Maintains current Mandatory Child/Adult Abuse Reporter status.
