Responsibilities
- Assist treating patients by following an individualized plan of care developed by Occupational Therapists.
- Ensure every patient receives quality treatment resulting in excellent functional outcomes.
- Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs.
- Aid patients with all phases of Occupational Therapy treatment and techniques.
- Discuss treatment with patients and record patient conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each visit.
- Communicate continuously with Occupational Therapist, Director or Rehab, and facility staff.
- Operate and apply knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of [State Name].
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
