Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist treating patients by following an individualized plan of care developed by Occupational Therapists.
• Ensure every patient receives quality treatment resulting in excellent functional outcomes.
• Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs.
• Aid patients with all phases of Occupational Therapy treatment and techniques.
• Discuss treatment with patients and record patient conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each visit.
• Communicate continuously with Occupational Therapist, Director or Rehab, and facility staff.
• Operate and apply knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of [State Name].
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
