About the role

At Emerald Nursing & Rehab Columbus, we are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our outstanding rehabilitation team on a PRN/as-needed basis.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans designed to help residents achieve their highest level of function
  • Guide and motivate residents through therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living, and functional mobility tasks
  • Encourage independence while helping residents build confidence in everyday skills
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of treatments and resident responses
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative, resident-centered approach to care

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current state licensure/certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Previous skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or healthcare experience preferred—but new graduates are encouraged to apply
