Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant Certification from Indiana Board of Occupational Therapy at the time of appointment and must maintain current certification throughout employment in this classification
- Experience working within a school setting. Experience in a pediatric setting a plus
- Able to pass required background checks, physical and drug screen
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement as it relates to organizational development and service delivery
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet usage
Responsibilities
- Provide care and service in a manner consistent with Bashor’s treatment philosophy that is solution-focused, evidence-based, and family/client centered
- Assist in supplementing, enhancing, and extending occupational therapy programs
- Carry out activities designed by OTR to assist with assessment, intervention, treatment, and activities to enhance motor, sensory, self-regulatory, feeding, and other functional abilities
- Assist OTR with screenings, assessments, and occupational therapy services
- Follow and implement documented IEP plans or protocols
- Document student progress toward meeting established objectives and report the information to the OTR
- Absorb and implement behavior management programs for students as designed by certified staff, observe and report significant student behavior, behavioral patterns, and/or other problems to the OTR
- Ensure a safe, secure, and functional work environment by maintaining awareness of issues related to the physical plant
- Plan and deliver in-service programs as needed for direct care staff

Beginning at $21/hour
Schedule
Monday - Friday 8AM-4:30PM or 8:30AM - 5PM
