About the role
SSM Health Day Institute is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to work part-time Monday through Friday from 8am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care under the direct supervision of a licensed OT.
- Delegates and directs supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance patient care services.
- Communicates with supervising OT regarding scheduled patients to identify needs for assessment, reassessment, modification of treatment plans, and other interventions requiring therapist direction.
- Participates in educating patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in a COTA program required.
- Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a COTA required.
- Certified Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
