About the role

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant assumes clinical responsibility in an assigned facility. This is a professional position with the primary responsibility of direct patient care under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Additional duties of an administrative nature are to be performed as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of a Occupational Therapist, is at all times responsible to follow all state specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care
  • Follow the treatment set only as defined by the Occupational Therapist; to perform only those procedures that the COTA is qualified and trained to perform
  • Make all recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Occupational Therapist

Qualifications

  • Currently possess a degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
  • Possess, prior to, onboarding and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in assigned state
