Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Implement individualized treatment plans as directed by the OT
• Auxiliary residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), strength, coordination, cognition, and functional independence
• Serve as a resource for caregivers and staff on therapy goals
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and physicians to support patient outcomes
• Document treatment sessions accurately, timely, and in compliance with facility standards
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team communication

Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Nebraska (or eligibility for licensure)
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Experience in skilled nursing or subacute rehab preferred; new graduates welcome
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and patient-centered care skills
