Certified Nursing Assistant / Home Care Aide

About the role

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Home Care Aide to join our team at Highgate Senior Living. Our mission is to help each resident live a life of purpose, and we believe that together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of over 700 seniors and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and stand-by assistance as needed
• Support residents in activities of daily living
• Offer emotional, psychological, and spiritual support
• Adapt to the changing needs of older adults
• Work collaboratively with other team members

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• CPR & First Aid Certification
• CNA or HCA License
• Current negative TB Test
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move continuously
• Ability to carry or transfer up to 50 lbs with assistance
• Criminal Record/Background Check
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with little oversight

Qualifications

• Experience working with seniors (preferred)
• Prior experience in assisted living or memory care communities
• Customer service and hospitality experience
• Experience in healthcare or customer service
• Volunteer work involving vulnerable groups
• Kindness, patience, and compassion
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $23.00 per hour. Being vaccinated against COVID-19 is preferred.

The schedule for this position can be full-time or part-time, depending on your availability and preferences.
