Certified Nursing Assistant / Home Care Aide

About the role

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Care Aide to join our Highgate Senior Living team. This position offers the opportunity to positively impact the lives of over 700 seniors and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on and stand-by assistance to residents
• Support residents in maintaining their independence and purpose
• Offer physical assistance with activities of daily living
• Provide emotional, psychological, and soulful support
• Adapt to the changing needs of older adults
• Work collaboratively with other team members

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to obtain CPR & First Aid Certification
• CNA or HCA license
• Current negative TB test
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move continuously during work hours
• Ability to carry or transfer up to 50lbs with assistance
• Pass a criminal record/background check
• Efficient time management skills
• Ability to work independently with little oversight
• Top-notch organizational abilities and communication skills

• Understanding of dementia and its impact on residents
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or healthcare
• Ability to work with different types of people

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $23.00 per hour. Prior experience working with seniors is a plus.
