About the role
Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing over 100 years of quality housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment. As a Nursing Assistant (NA), you will serve as a caregiver in long-term care, delivering resident-centered nursing care and assistance with daily activities under RN supervision.
Responsibilities
- Providing age-appropriate physical and psychological care according to care plans
- Assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital signs recording
- Supporting psychosocial needs and personal care
- Transferring, repositioning, and walking residents safely
- Assisting with meals, snacks, and creating positive dining experiences
- Documenting resident interactions and communicating changes to nursing staff
- Collecting non-invasive specimens and vital signs
- Providing housekeeping, laundry, and supporting wellness and recreational activities
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 16
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or in training to obtain it
- Completion of annual competency testing and ongoing education (minimum 12 hours/year)
- Ability to follow infection control policies, transfer techniques, and maintain certifications
- For some roles, valid driver’s license and medical clearance for driving responsibilities
