Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Nephrology/Transplant (R5)

- Part time: 0-1 years of experience eligible for $1,250
- Part time: 1+ years of experience eligible for $2,500
Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part-time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
About the role
R5 cares for patients with chronic multi-system disease processes with an emphasis on nephrology and urology, providing specialized patient and family care to renal transplant recipients and living donors. Patient populations include adults and older adults with common diagnostic categories including Acute Kidney Injury, End-Stage Renal Disease, Diabetes, Infectious Diseases, Urological disorders and Urological surgeries.
Under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse and according to defined policies and procedures, performs various service duties and technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living. Specific duties may vary by area of assignment. Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required. The Certified Nursing Assistant – Acute Care role assists in the administration of nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect care duties.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current applicable state(s) license as a Certified Nursing Assistant required
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
- Relevant experience preferred
Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.27 to $24.36 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE). Schedule
Full-time, Night shift: 3, 12-hour shifts. Weekends required.
