Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Lead - Sub Acute & Long Term Care
About the role
We seek a Certified Nursing Assistant Lead to provide nursing care in our loving, compassionate environment. This position provides nursing care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse and/or licensed physician, and is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his or her direction.
Responsibilities
- Provides daily living assistance and completes necessary tasks to promote patient health.
- Affords patients with basic hygiene needs, maintains optimum mobility levels, provides safe patient handling, O2, infection control practices, assists patients with nutritional intake, as needed, and provides end of life care.
- Collections patient specimens and data, including vital signs, glucose testing, input/output and other delegated measurements in accordance with unit/facility policy and standards of care.
- Documents objective data and routine aspects of patient care.
- Affords necessary supplies, support and assistance to medical staff and patients for unit specific procedures, under the direct supervision of a licensed professional.
- Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and completes requisition forms when supplies need to be ordered.
- Makes sure that all are accounted for and in working order for electronic equipment such as patient ID scanners and laptop computers.
- Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support overall operating efficiency and effective flow of communication and information throughout the department.
- Participates in the resolution of customer problems or collects necessary data and follows through to appropriate person for problem resolution.
- Mentors, trains, and teaches other staff.
- Involves in performance improvement projects.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge is required.
- Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of C.N.A. experience.
- The ability to train and mentor other employees is required.
- The ability to float to other areas of the facility is required.
- Preceptor education course required.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current C.N.A. license in state of practice is required in accordance with regulatory requirements or facility/department policy.
Qualifications
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy and keyboarding skills is required.

Pay
Compensation $21.07 - $30.34 hourly wage depending on experience and education
Schedule
Full Time, 40 Hours per week, 4 x 10-hour shifts 900am-730pm Sunday - Wednesday
