Must be located in or near Haines City, FL (33844). Current available hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM for an 11-year-old male client.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all personal care activities contained in a written assignment by the Registered Nurse (RN), including assisting with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and physical transfer.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment: light cleaning, straightening living areas, washing dishes or laundry, and other tasks to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Measure intake and output of fluids, temperature, pulse, respiration, or blood pressure.
  • Keep records of personal health care activities.
  • Observe and report changes in the patient’s appearance and gross behavioral changes to the Registered Nurse (RN).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in home care preferred.
  • Current, valid Florida CNA license OR 40–75 hour Home Health Aide Certificate.
  • Current BLS CPR Certification (obtained in-person, not online).
  • TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF).
  • Alzheimer’s training: 2-Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed).
  • 1-Hour DOEA Alzheimer’s Video (free on DOEA website).
  • Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication CEU (minimum 2 hours).
  • HIV/AIDS CEU.
