About the role

Select Specialty Hospital – Milwaukee – St. Francis is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world‑class inpatient post‑ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) play a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent care throughout the patient’s journey.

Responsibilities

  • Perform services for patients including bathing using basin‑less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
  • Participate in hourly rounds.
  • Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
  • Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition.
  • Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
  • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in a related field (e.g., medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student).

Schedule

Full‑time, Day Shift – 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Pay

Sign‑on bonus: $2,500.
