Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs) to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Keeps residents' rooms and care areas clean and neat.
• Participates in the orientation of new residents to the facility.
• Documents care as instructed and required.
• Reports all changes in the resident’s condition (e.g., areas of redness, skin tears, bruising, mental status change, eating habits) to the charge nurse.
• Checks assigned residents routinely to ensure their personal care needs are being met.
• Assists in transporting residents to/from dining room, therapy, activity, and social programs as necessary.
• Monitors and records vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) and reports changes to nursing staff.
• Encourages residents to participate in activity programs and assists as needed.
• Performs restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.
• Assists with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents using appropriate techniques.
• Serves meals and assists with feeding as necessary.
• Responds to call lights and resident requests promptly and courteously.
• Performs other duties as directed and assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Alabama or obtain certification within 120 days of hire.
• Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
