Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Behavioral Health
Job Summary
The Emergency Department Nursing Assistant assists with the direct care of emergency department patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse and performs other essential non-direct patient duties. Duties include assisting with vital signs and weights, collecting specimens, performing CPR, transporting patients via wheelchair or gurney, and providing safety and comfort for patients and their families. The Nursing Assistant also communicates effectively with people on all levels and may serve as a patient sitter under the supervision of an RN.
Qualifications
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (maintained at all times)
- Certified Nursing Assistance Certificate or Equivalent at Time of Hire
- Previous Hospital Experience - preferred
- Basic Computer Skills
- Spanish Speaking - preferred
