Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

About the role

In this role, you will promote residents' dignity, independence, privacy, and rights by assisting with daily activities, medication reminders, and social or spiritual pursuits. You will provide personal care, monitor physical and cognitive wellbeing, and support residents in maintaining their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders in accordance with care plans and policies.
• Help residents with lifting, transferring, turning, and positioning into and out of beds, chairs, or wheelchairs.
• Support dining services, including meal setup, cleanup, tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documenting intake.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and report changes to nursing staff.
• Deliver nutritional supplements and ensure proper intake, documenting as required.
• Participate in and facilitate life enrichment activities for residents.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
• Follow all policies and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Certified Nursing Certification may be required depending on state regulations.
• At least 1 year of experience working with seniors preferred.
• Demonstrated patience and compassion in elderly care.
