Your Role as the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Skilled Nursing Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide essential, hands-on care to residents in our skilled nursing community. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and daily care needs while helping maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment. This Position May Also Be Known As Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or Caregiver, depending on experience and certification. Summary The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) provides direct personal care and support to residents in accordance with individualized care plans, state regulations, and Americare standards. This role works closely with nursing and therapy teams to ensure residents receive high-quality, respectful, and person-centered care. What You’ll Do Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toiletingAssist with transfers, lifting, repositioning, and mobility as neededObserve, document, and report changes in resident condition and care providedSupport restorative nursing and therapy activities as directedMaintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residentsReport accidents, incidents, or concerns involving residents, staff, or visitorsWork collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team membersFollow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of required safety equipment What You Bring Qualifications High school diploma or equivalentMust be 16 years of age or olderValid CNA certification in the state of employmentPrevious experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred, but not required Skills & Abilities Compassionate, resident-centered approach to careAbility to work effectively as part of a healthcare teamStrong communication and observation skillsDependable, professional, and safety-focused Physical Demands Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as neededPush, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistanceManeuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.
