Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - 5 Medical - 0.4 FTE - 8hr PM Shift
About the role
We are hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the 5 Medical unit. This position is a 0.4 FTE (16 hours per week), Monday through Friday, 3:00PM-11:30PM, with every other weekend and holiday grouping rotation. The hourly rate is from $15.00.
Who We Are
We are seeking compassionate and professional nursing assistants to join the medical unit of choice in Southeastern Wisconsin. The unit consists of 53 beds and serves a diverse population including those with respiratory diseases, infectious processes, complications of chronic conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, renal failure, diabetes, alcohol/opiate withdrawal, and patients requiring medical evaluation before transitioning to other care environments. The patient management may involve telemetry monitoring, continuous medication infusions, wounds, ventilators, tracheostomies, various tubes and drains. We focus on meeting the needs of the patient and supporting one another to achieve these goals. We actively engage in shared governance, patient outcome-focused teams, and encourage continuous improvement in our work culture.
What You Will Do
- Provide support to the staff and patients on the unit
- Work independently to provide resource information and general nursing care to patients
- Complete clerical tasks related to regulatory annual requirements, audits, and patient processes
What You Will Need
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- A Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) certification, either active or expired on registry
- A strong interest in customer service and ability to multitask
- The ability to work independently with little supervision
- A passion for providing excellent patient care and demonstrating compassion at the end of life
