About the role
Bridgewell strengthens communities by providing social and human services to people with disabilities and other life challenges. Services include community housing, day programs, outpatient treatment, recovery services, education, and employment training.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and assist individuals with all activities of daily living.
- Check vital signs, check weight, apply creams/ointments, and ensure comfort, privacy, and dignity.
- Observe residents for changes in condition or behavior and report promptly.
- Ensure compliance with DDS, CARF, and regulatory standards.
- Identify and secure appropriate services for medical, clinical, and financial needs.
- Transport individuals to and from medical, recreational, and other activities.
- Maintain daily and monthly progress notes and write annual assessments.
- Assist individuals with accessing community resources and recreational opportunities.
- Administer medications according to MAP regulations.
- Maintain core training certifications including CPR/FA, OSHA, CPI, PABC (if applicable), and MAP.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate with at least 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
- Massachusetts-approved Nursing Assistant Certification or equivalent education.
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification in Massachusetts.
- Valid driver's license and one year of driving experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Normal range of eyesight, hearing, and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and drive a vehicle.

- Bachelor's degree may substitute for a CNA based on experience.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $20 - $28 per hour, with actual compensation determined based on seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, or other applicable factors.
