Certified Nursing Assistant - Acute MedSurgical

About the Role

This position provides routine patient care and clerical support in a hospital setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring proper documentation and secure transportation of patients and belongings.
• Prepare patient rooms, set up IVs, and adjust beds as needed.
• Maintain safety, confidentiality, and security during patient interactions and transport.
• Support unit operations by cleaning, procuring supplies, running errands, and organizing inventory.
• Help create a safe and comfortable environment by replenishing linens, water, and towels.
• Perform unit-specific patient care tasks, monitor for changes in patient conditions, and report promptly.
• Respond to emergencies, patient call lights, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Adapt care to meet patients' developmental and cultural needs and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Patient care experience in acute care preferred.
• CPR certification and CNA license required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and safety skills.
