About the role
MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland, ME is recruiting for a Per-Diem Certified Nurse-Midwife to join our team. The OB/GYN team seeks candidates whose experience, teaching, research, or community service prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity, excellence, and the health of our patients.
Responsibilities
- See OB Emergency Department patients
- Perform postpartum rounds and discharges
- Supervise labors
- Attend births with our resident team
Minimum Qualifications
- RN and CNM licensure per Maine State Board of Nursing
- DEA number
- Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board
- At least three years of CNM experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching OB/GYN residents and/or other interdisciplinary learners
- Commitment to working successfully with a diverse learner population
- Demonstrated commitment to racial and social justice
- Strong communication, interdisciplinary teamwork skills
Pay
For internal candidates who currently hold a full-time or part-time role at MaineHealth, the pay rate is 120% of their current hourly rate and may be eligible for shift differentials. For external candidates or candidates who only hold per diem roles at MaineHealth, the rate is $80.00 per hour and may be eligible for shift differentials.
