About the role
The position will involve clinic days plus shared calls.
Responsibilities
- Provide a full scope of midwifery duties suitable for a rural setting.
- Work in close collaboration with three OBGYNs, three midwives, and one women's health nurse practitioner.
- Offer women's health and family planning services.
- Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for midwifery caseload patients.
- Support physiologic birth and patient choice to achieve excellent outcomes.
- Provide 1:1 support for women who have water labor and birth, nitrous oxide, intrathecal, or VBAC options.
- Work in our beautiful birth center on the same floor as our Clinic.
- Support our Baby Friendly™ designated birth center.
Requirements
- Nurse Midwifery certification.
- Current Vermont RN and APRN license (or ability to obtain).
- Current Vermont DEA (or ability to obtain).
- BLS through the AHA.
