Certified Nurse Midwife

Principle Responsibilities

• Independently provides labor support, water birth, and VBAC/TOLAC services
• Midwifery collaborative support provided by an in-house OB and maternal fetal medicine groups
• Attend approximately 40-50 births per month with three affiliated clinics
• Highlight natural birth experience providing nontraditional care in the hospital
• Follows standards for Nurse Midwifery Practice established by the American College of Nurse-Midwives and Minnesota statute
• Professional Liability insurance including tail

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Master's degree or doctoral degree in nursing or related field preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
• Current BLS certification with AHA, ARC or Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire
• AMCB American Midwifery Certification Board upon hire required
• Physical Demands: Medium Work - Lifting up to 32 lbs occasionally, up to 25 lbs frequently

Practice Details

• Team of 16 plus CNM across the system
• Collaborative, supportive, and encouraging teammates

• Support whole person population health care initiatives
• Full-time position at Mercy Women's Clinic and deliveries out of Mercy Hospital

Pay Range

$130,000 to $145,000 per year
