Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

About the role

Join our dedicated hospice team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and bring comfort, dignity, and support to patients and their families during life's most important moments.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Change linens, wash laundry, clean living areas, and maintain a safe environment
• Measure and report vital signs, intake & output, and observe/report health changes
• Absorb and administer basic treatments such as enemas, heat/ice packs, and non-sterile dressings
• Support medication adherence as directed by nurses or physicians
• Prepare meals in accordance with dietary needs and assist with nourishment between meals
• Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Accompany patients to medical appointments or errands as needed
• Provide care for pediatric patients or disabled family members when applicable
• Document care and communicate effectively with the nursing team
• Assist with post-mortem care as needed in hospice settings

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA program
• At least 1 year of direct care experience (hospice or home care a plus)
• Ability to lift up to 75–100 pounds and stand or walk for prolonged periods
• Pass any required pre-employment screenings and background checks
