Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Must be in good standing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, and bowel and bladder training
- Auxiliary residents with meals, including serving trays, feeding assistance, and recording food and fluid intake and weights
- Obtain and document vital signs, reporting changes in resident condition to the nurse
- Auxiliary residents with positioning, transfers, and ambulation according to individualized care plans
- Follow all safety procedures and infection prevention protocols
- Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, coworkers, and other departments
- Accurately document resident care in accordance with policies and procedures
- Report changes in resident condition promptly while maintaining resident confidentiality
- Attend required in-service training and continuing education to maintain compliance with federal and state requirements
