About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC/SNF). The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care by assisting residents with daily living activities, monitoring their health and well-being, and supporting the nursing team in delivering high-quality care. This assignment is available as a travel contract position or as a local/staff contract position.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff.
- Record patient care and maintain accurate documentation.
- Assist with transferring, positioning, and ambulating residents using proper safety techniques.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
- Support nurses with routine patient care and follow individualized care plans.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and facility policies.
- Float to other units as needed based on patient care requirements.
Requirements
- Active Colorado Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) experience.
- Previous travel healthcare experience preferred (for travel-track candidates).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and commit to the full contract assignment.
Pay
Compensation: $28 - $30 per hour.
This role is open to both travel and local candidates. Pay structure depends on your primary residence relative to the facility:
- Travel candidates (residence located 60+ miles from the facility): eligible for the travel pay package, which may include a tax-advantaged stipend component in addition to taxable wages, consistent with IRS tax-home rules.
- Local candidates (residence located within 60 miles of the facility): will be considered under the facility’s local/staff pay structure (fully taxable hourly rate; stipend component does not apply).
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- 8 or 13 week assignment.
