About the role

Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a Certified Nurse Aide for the following shifts: 7AM - 3:30PM every weekend (Saturday & Sunday); 3PM - 11:30PM every weekend (Saturday & Sunday); 3PM - 11:30PM every Monday & Thursday; 11PM - 7:30AM every weekend (Saturday & Sunday).

Responsibilities

• Assist with meals and escort residents to the dining hall.
• Make rounds regularly, answer call lights promptly and respond courteously.
• Complete all required paperwork/computerized documentation for charting assessments.
• Provide each resident the necessary care in accordance with his/her plan of care and ADL record.
• Monitor and observe residents’ physical, mental, and emotional status, and report changes to Charge Nurse.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Virginia Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of personal care needs and activities of daily living (ADL’s).
• Physical ability to turn, bend and lift non-ambulatory adult patients without restrictions.

Additional Considerations

• Experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting.

Pay

$32.00 per hour
