About the Role
Provide compassionate in-home patient care in a hospice setting as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).
Responsibilities
- Personal care such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
- Assisting with mobility and transfers
- Monitoring and reporting patient condition changes
- Documenting care activities accurately
- Participating in case conferences and team meetings
- Performing simple procedures and range of motion exercises as ordered
- Adhering to documentation, care standards, and professional conduct
- Attending required in-service training
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a CNA training program or licensed as a CNA
- Minimum two years caregiving experience, hospice experience preferred
- Empathy and ability to communicate patient needs clearly
- Ability to work independently and reliably
- Read, write, and communicate fluently in English
- Reliable transportation and a smartphone
Skills
- Experience with EMR systems (preferred)
- Ability to work in Newport News area
Pay
Starting pay ranges from $18.00 to $23.00 per hour.
