Hospice Aide | Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About the role
Interim HealthCare® Hospice is hiring a Hospice Aide to join our team in Lawrence, Kansas and surrounding areas. In this full-time role, you’ll provide compassionate personal care and support to patients and their families during a significant season of life, helping them find comfort and closure.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care: bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, and skin care
- Assist in dressing and undressing patients
- Assist in feeding patients
- Take and record vital signs: oral, rectal, and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and/or range-of-motion exercises
- Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
Requirements
- CNA License (Kansas)
- Valid Kansas driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Six months of experience in a healthcare role (preferred)
- CPR certification
- Compassionate and helping nature, strong communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
