Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

About the role

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of an RN or LPN, perform basic patient care activities in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by and RN or LPN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
• Absorb and assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assist with keeping patients' rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provide quality patient care; work flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Arizona
• BLS certification required
• Handle with Care certification preferred

Qualifications

• Comfortable with frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
• Comfortable with regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Basic computer skills

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
