About the role
Leading a classroom takes a special kind of skill. As a Montessori Certified Guide, you will deliver an authentic Montessori experience, encouraging children to be innovative and independent. You are an expert in implementing the Montessori curriculum, following school policies, observing and assessing children, and communicating with families.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Montessori curriculum and facilitate engaging, interactive learning experiences.
- Follow all licensing guidelines, school, and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
- Accurately observe, assess, and plan for children’s development.
- Effectively communicate with families about their child’s progress.
- Complete ongoing professional development on Montessori pedagogy and early childhood development topics.
Requirements
- Credentials as a Montessori educator from an accredited training program (MACTE preferred).
- Experience in a licensed child care center, Montessori school, or related field; previous lead teacher experience preferred.
- Met state requirements for education; additional school requirements may apply.
- At least 18 years of age.
