Certified Medication Technician (CMT) - Central NM

Position Summary

Working under the supervision of nursing leadership, you will assist with medication administration and support daily medical unit operations while maintaining compliance with regulatory and facility standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications in accordance with established policies, procedures, and scope of practice.
• Monitor medication inventories, maintain medication carts, and ensure medications and supplies are properly stocked and within expiration dates.
• Observe patients for medication‑related concerns and promptly report adverse reactions or changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support medication audits, quality‑improvement activities, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist nursing staff with patient care activities, patient education, first aid, and daily medical unit operations.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA, infection control, and medication administration standards.

Requirements

• Certified Medication Technician (Aide) certification (required).
• Current CPR certification.
• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• One (1) year of experience in a medical environment (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
