About the role
A Certified Medication Technician (CMT) in a skilled nursing community administers prescribed medications and provides compassionate resident support in daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Verify resident identity before medication administration
- Document medication administration accurately
- Monitor residents for adverse reactions to medications
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, meals, and mobility
- Report any changes in resident condition to appropriate staff
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper procedures and PPE use
- Report injuries and participate in drug testing as required
Requirements
- Completion of an approved CMT course
- Active CMT certification in good standing
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age of 16
