About the role
This position involves administering and documenting medications such as inhalers, eye drops, ear drops, oral, rectal, and topical treatments under supervision. The role also includes assisting residents in meeting their physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs, guided by the Charge Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications following established guidelines
- Document medication administration accurately
- Support residents' overall well‑being across physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social dimensions
- Assist the healthcare team under supervision and guidance of the Charge Nurse
Qualifications
- Must have Minnesota CNA and TMA certifications
- Complete a 48‑hour Minnesota Trained Medication Assistant Course
- Able to read, write, and speak English
- Eligible for CNA certification or certification within six months of hire
- State‑approved TMA training required
