Essential Duties And Job Responsibilities
- Administer oral and topical medications as prescribed by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Ensure the correct medication, dosage, and time are administered.
- Document medication administration accurately, including dosage, time, and resident response.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration.
- Report any adverse reactions or side effects to the supervising nurse.
- Auxiliary nursing care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of residents. Answer residents' call lights and respond to their needs promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Follow established healthcare standards and practices.
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff. Document resident care and medication administration accurately and thoroughly.
- Report any changes in resident condition or concerns to the supervising nurse.
Requirements
- Licensed Certified Medication Aide in the State this position is held in
- Maintain and have an active CPR/BLS during employment
- Prioritize experience in long term care, geriatric rehab, sub-acute and or critical care clinical setting
- Experience in electronic medical records documentation
