About the role

Eventide Sheyenne Crossing is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA II) for a part-time evening shift position. This role involves working 6 PM to 10:30 PM (19.5 hours per pay period) every third weekend with a holiday rotation. Evening and weekend shift differentials of $2 per hour are added to the base wage.

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents’ needs and health status through physical assessments, observations, and interviews on a continuing basis.
  • Provide individual attention to encourage each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
  • Observe and follow residents’ plans of care, updating and making appropriate changes as necessary.
  • Administer medications and treatments, monitoring both for effectiveness.
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents according to established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Comply with rules and regulations set forth by the North Dakota Department of Health and the Center for Medicare/Medicaid services.
  • Document accurately in residents’ electronic medical records.
  • Assist in orientation and training of new team members.
  • Report resident needs, problems, and observations to the Charge Nurse and/or attending physician.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and correct inadequate staffing appropriately.
  • Monitor and ensure the activities and functions of subordinate staff are completed thoroughly and accurately.
  • Provide information, education, and support for assigned residents and their families.
  • Communicate residents’ needs to resident care staff and interact with physicians and other health care facilities as needed.
  • Update nursing skills and knowledge by attending in-services, continuing education programs, and staff meetings.
  • Coordinate and participate in resident care conferences, communicating effectively with families.
  • Report any incidents or evidence of abuse, neglect, or violation of residents’ rights promptly.
  • Manage electronic timecards on a daily basis.
  • Occasionally assist with other tasks in addition to the duties listed, in accordance with Eventide’s commitment to quality resident care.

Requirements

  • Active, good-standing ND CMA II or III license (or ability to obtain one upon hire).
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required.

Pay

Competitive pay range of $23.00 - $25.76 per hour for CMA II/III, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Additional shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions.
