Certified Medication Aide(CMA) - Part Time: Saturday, sunday, & Monday 3pm - 11pm

About the role

The Bristal Assisted Living seeks compassionate and dedicated Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides to enrich the lives of our residents through thoughtful and dignified care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Escorting residents to meals and recreational activities
• Safeguarding residents’ physical, emotional, and psycho-social well-being
• Providing support in the Wellness area to ensure the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents
• Fulfilling all policies and procedures, and following the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of Wellness

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant, or Certified Home Health Aide
• Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia (preferred)
• Ability to speak and read in English
• Previous experience with geriatric population (preferred), providing assistance with ADLs
• Patience and professionalism in redirecting residents
• Ability to adjust to different personality types and situations in positive ways
• Reliability, caring, and gentle demeanor
• An abiding respect for the elderly and calmness in all situations
