About the Role

The Plaza at Lubbock in Lubbock, TX, is seeking full-time Certified Medication Aides (CMAs) to join our dedicated team. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in administering medications to residents, ensuring their well-being, and contributing to our mission of providing superior clinical care and supportive services.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral and topical medications to residents as ordered by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following state and federal regulations and facility policies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the "five rights" of medication administration.
• Record medication administration and treatments accurately.
• Observe and report any medication reactions or side effects to the licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
• Administer PRN medications in compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policy.

Qualifications

• State certification as a nurse aide.
• State-approved medication administration certification.
• Complete familiarity with the duties of a certified nurse aide.
• Highly developed observation skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
