Certified Medication Aide CMA

About the role

We are currently searching for Certified Medication Aides to join our friendly, caring and supportive team. We're conveniently located for candidates from Centerville, Fairfield, Ottumwa, Albia and more.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect by providing medications as needed.
• Perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Observe changes in resident's condition and report to nursing staff.
• Maintain a safe environment for residents.
• Maintain ongoing education about medication administration and resident care.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• An unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate.
• Successful completion of State of Iowa approved Certified Medication Aide training.
• C.P.R. certification.
• One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience (preferable but not required).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medication administration and resident care.

• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
