Certified Medication Aide CMA

About the role

We are currently searching for Certified Medication Aides to join our friendly, caring and supportive team at Harmony Waterloo. Responsibilities

• Ensure residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect by providing medications as needed.
• Perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Observe changes in resident’s condition and report to appropriate staff members.
• Maintain a safe environment for residents.
• Provide education to residents and families regarding medication administration and health management.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• An unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate.
• Successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training.
• C.P.R. certification.
• One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but not required. We are willing to invest in the right candidate!

• Knowledge of medications and their proper administration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
